When driving near large trucks, the priority is to give them space and stay out of their limited visibility zones. Trucks have significant blind spots along both sides and directly behind them. If you ride in the space between two trucks, neither driver can see you well, and a lane change or sudden braking by either truck can put you in danger with little time to react. That’s why the safest practice is to avoid driving between trucks altogether. Instead, keep a safe following distance behind a truck, and when you need to pass, do so on the left and only when it’s safe, then return to the right once you can see the truck in your rearview mirror.
